DMEA – Connecting Digital Health is the key trade fair for the digitalisation of healthcare in Europe. Every year, it brings together decision-makers, medical staff, IT experts, young companies and established firms to shape the future of healthcare IT, interoperable systems and patient-centred processes. DMEA was held in Berlin until 2026; from 2027, Munich is the venue.

As a platform for innovation for hospitals, medical care centres (MVZ) and office-based care providers, DMEA stands for practical digitalisation, regulatory certainty and bridging the gap between medicine and technology.

medudoc is exhibiting at DMEA 2026 in Berlin and showing how modern patient education, informed consent and clinical workflows can be designed digitally from end to end.

What is medudoc?

medudoc is a digital platform for video-assisted patient education, structured documentation of informed consent processes and smart medical history – developed for the real-world requirements of hospitals and outpatient facilities.

At its heart is the question: how can medico-legally sound patient information, a high level of patient understanding and efficient clinical processes be achieved at the same time?

The answer is an integrated solution that understands patient education not as an isolated document but as an end-to-end process.

The innovations medudoc is presenting at DMEA

At DMEA, medudoc is presenting, among other things:

Platform for personalised, video-assisted patient education

Medical patient information becomes comprehensible, standardised and individual at the same time. High-quality, professionally reviewed videos help patients better understand procedures, risks and alternatives – at a time that suits them and before the consent discussion, which they prepare for but do not replace.

In the HCP Dashboard (HCP: healthcare professional, i.e. medical and nursing staff), medudoc documents the entire patient information and consent process in a structured, audit-proof way. This makes informed consent not only legally sound but also efficient and traceable for medical staff.

Smart medical history integrated into automated workflows

With medudoc, the digital medical history becomes an active part of clinical processes. Information is captured in a structured way, put into context and can flow directly into downstream workflows – from preparation to documentation.

Live integrations with PMS and HIS

medudoc is not an isolated system. The platform can be integrated live into existing PMS and HIS landscapes, supporting continuous digital processes without media breaks.

And further new features

We are keeping a few new features under wraps for now. If you want to know where digital patient education and consent processes are really heading, come and visit us.

Why a visit is worthwhile

The requirements for patient education are rising: legally, organisationally and from the patients’ perspective. At the same time, everyday hospital work lacks time. At DMEA, medudoc shows how digitalisation creates real added value here – for physicians, nursing staff, administration and patients.

We look forward to the exchange in Berlin and to shaping the future of digital patient education together with you.
