Informed before the examination, even at a high patient throughput
In radiology, examinations follow each other closely, and patient education often takes place shortly beforehand. With medudoc, patients enter their information at home and view the patient education content in advance. On site, there is time left for questions.
Diagnostics and intervention
From contrast-enhanced CT to embolisation
Radiology combines tightly scheduled diagnostics with plannable interventional procedures. medudoc prepares both in the same workflow.
Imaging with contrast agent
Examinations with contrast agent require patient education, often on the same day. The consent sheet adapts to how the contrast agent is administered, intravenously or orally.
- Computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and X-ray
- Angiography, phlebography and arthrography
- Mammography, diagnostic and screening
Image-guided procedures
Interventional procedures can be planned and require careful patient education on the procedure and its risks. Patients prepare for it at home.
- Radiofrequency, microwave or cryoablation
- Transarterial embolisation
- Biopsies, punctures and drainages
Scintigraphy and PET-CT
Consent sheets are also available for nuclear medicine examinations.
- PET-CT
- Thyroid and myocardial scintigraphy
- Sentinel lymph node scintigraphy
Patient education in advance
Patient education starts at home, not in the waiting area
Anyone who reads the patient education material only shortly before the examination has little time for questions. medudoc moves preparation to the patient’s home – on any device, no app.
1. Invitation with the appointment confirmation
Patients receive the link with the appointment confirmation or start via the QR code on the leaflet, with no new password.
2. Information at home
In the digital medical history, they enter pre-existing conditions, allergies and medication, the medication also by photo of the package. They upload previous medical reports.
3. Information in view
In the HCP Dashboard, notable responses are flagged, such as an allergy. The physician reviews and decides.
4. View patient education in advance
Patients watch the patient education video and read the consent sheet at home at their own pace, in 23 languages. They note questions for the consent discussion.
5. Discussion and signature
On site, physicians clarify open questions. Patients sign electronically, on a tablet or signature pad.
The result is the consent sheet, consent trail and medical history in one PDF/A – archived in an audit-proof manner and transferred to the hospital information system (HIS) and archive system.
