Well prepared, even when parents decide
For tympanostomy tubes or adenoidectomy, the patient is often a child. medudoc brings parents, as legal representatives, into a digital process – from the medical history at home to electronic consent. Anaesthesia is covered in the same consent sheet.
Procedures in children
How parents prepare for their child's procedure
Before tympanostomy tubes, myringotomy or tonsil surgery, the parents decide. medudoc gives them time to prepare at home and records every consent in a traceable way.
1. Invitation to the parents
Via QR code on the leaflet, a link on the hospital website or with the appointment confirmation – no app, no new password.
2. Medical history for the child at home
Parents answer one shared questionnaire for ENT and anaesthesia. Each item is collected only once.
3. Review in the HCP Dashboard
Notable information is flagged. Physicians classify the risk and choose the form of the consent discussion.
4. Patient education without pressure
Parents read the consent sheet at home. For anaesthesia in children, there is a patient education video they can watch together.
5. Discussion and consent
After the consent discussion on site or by telemedicine, the parents sign electronically as legal representatives.
After approval, the parents receive the surgery preparation plan with the appointment and fasting rules, with reminders by email or text message.
ENT and anaesthesia
One process for procedure and anaesthesia
Many ENT procedures are performed under general anaesthesia. medudoc combines the patient education of both specialties without blurring responsibilities – for children and adults alike.
One case in the HCP Dashboard
ENT and anaesthesia see the same information. ENT determines the procedure, anaesthesia classifies the risk.
Anaesthesia matched to the child's age
The sheet on general anaesthesia in children adapts to age – younger or older than one year.
One consent sheet across specialties
ENT procedure and anaesthesia are combined in one bilingual document. Physicians add annotations before signature.
Add your own sequences
In the video editor, your hospital creates its own sequences, for example on the process on your ward.
On site or by telemedicine
The consent discussion where it fits
The physician decides, depending on the procedure and risk profile, whether a telemedical consent discussion is sufficient. Both paths start with the same preparation at home.
Consent discussion by phone or video
For planned procedures with low risk, when the physician considers a telemedical consent discussion sufficient.
