A short legal opinion by the law firm Lyck+Pätzold. healthcare.recht concludes that the medudoc platform may, under certain conditions, be eligible for funding under the German Hospital Care Improvement Act (KHVVG) — above all in funding category 3 (telemedical network structures). What matters is not the individual function, but its integration into medical care processes, cross-facility structures and a specific transformation project. FTB 2 and FTB 5 may be relevant in individual cases; for FTB 6, the opinion sees no direct eligibility for funding.
