You turn complex medical topics into patient education content that patients understand – from the script to the concept for the animation.
Want to help shape digital healthcare? At medudoc, you help decide how well patients understand what happens during their procedure – and how prepared they are for the consent discussion.
medudoc is the complete solution for preoperative patient management. At its heart are personalised patient education videos that we produce ourselves. A defined quality process safeguards every piece of content – from medical research to the finished animation.
For this, we are looking for medical experts or editors who prepare complex topics for patients in terms of both content and visuals. You work in our medical editorial team closely with illustrators and motion designers.
Your contribution
- You research and create patient education content for a range of specialties.
- You write video scripts and voice-over texts that guide patients clearly through their procedure.
- You develop specialist concepts for illustrations and animations and support video production with your medical knowledge.
- You help expand our library of around 300 patient education videos in over 22 specialties.
Your tasks
- Revising scientific texts for comprehensibility, flow and clarity
- Reducing jargon and writing easy-to-understand texts that meet the requirements for medical informed consent
- Researching valid literature in a structured way and working with internal and external experts
- Developing content efficiently and precisely with AI-supported tools and editorial systems
- Understanding the needs of patients and physicians and translating them into high-quality medical content
What you bring
Experience
- Practical experience in medical writing, ideally in patient education or medical communication
- Confident use of AI-supported writing and research tools, for example for literature searches in PubMed
Skills
- Strong writing skills and a feel for tone and comprehensibility
- Interest in design, visualisation and storytelling in illustration, animation and video
- Fast, precise and quality-conscious work – even on parallel projects
- German at native-speaker level and confident in medical terminology
