Patient education before starting dialysis and recurring treatments
Patient education comes before the first dialysis, an apheresis or a kidney biopsy. medudoc prepares patients for it at home – with a digital medical history, a bilingual consent sheet and electronic signature. The signed documents remain available in the patient portal.
Recurring treatments
Prepared for the first session
Dialysis and apheresis take place in recurring sessions; they begin with patient education and consent. medudoc brings both into one digital workflow and records the course in the consent trail.
Before starting dialysis
Before the first haemodialysis or the placement of a peritoneal dialysis catheter, patients enter their medical history and medication at home. Physicians review the case in the HCP Dashboard and approve it.
- Haemodialysis, haemofiltration and haemodiafiltration
- Peritoneal dialysis catheter, revision and removal
- Shunt and dialysis catheter in vascular surgery
Plasmapheresis and immunoadsorption
Apheresis treatments also take place over several sessions. The signed consent sheet is available as a PDF/A with the consent trail and remains accessible to patients in the patient portal.
- Plasmapheresis treatment
- Immunoadsorption and apheresis
- Lipid apheresis
Kidney biopsy and renal denervation
Anticoagulants appear in the HCP Dashboard with the preoperative recommendations of the specialist societies. Whether and when a medication is paused is decided by the physician.
- Kidney puncture and biopsy
- Renal denervation
One access for further procedures
With the optional medudoc patient account, patients can use their access across treatments, for example for further procedures. An account is never required.
- Optional, with multi-factor authentication
- Without an account via link or QR code
